Janneke joined the staff of the Rathenau Institute in March 2009. She is currently working on three Technology Assessment division projects: 'The market for the reuse of tissue', 'Human Enhancement' and 'Social Robots'. Janneke also undertakes various activities on behalf of the Science System division and is helping to organize the 'Diner Pensant' event.
Academic background and career
Janneke's past experience includes a spell as communications advisor for the Schorer Foundation. She has also worked as a television journalist and as a freelance writer
Janneke studied Social and Political Philosophy (with linguistics and literature) at the University of Groningen, Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Amsterdam. She has also completed a programme in Publishing and Book Distribution at the Amsterdam College of Higher Education (HvA). Janneke has worked or studied in Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany.
