Bibliometrische softwaretools
Projecten zoeken
The first three tools will be released in their "1.0" or "ready to use" versions. The rest of them are made available as development versions. The tools that have reached version 1.0 are:
- a parser program for the ISI/Web of Knowledge downloaded bibliographic data
- a program to split sentences in a database into separate words. This is useful for for instance title or abstract analysis
- a tool to transform a database table or query into a matrix format that can be read by for instance Pajek for visualization.
All tools work against a database backend. Currently, the only supported database backend are Microsoft Access files. That also means that the tools are currently limited to run on Microsoft Windows. Adding support for different database backends is high on our priority list.
Other tools
We also release our other tools that are not quite ready for prime time yet. These tools include:
- a parser for cordis files
- a tool to identify subnetworks
- a tool to import OaiXML files
- a harvestor for patent data
- a tool to identify and group records that likely refer to the same object such as words, names or addresses.
You will find some of these in the installer, and some only in the source code for now as they are not yet usable to produce anything. We will be keeping a weblog to keep you up to date on developments.
