Sophie investigates the societal debate on human/non-human combinations and human germline editing.
Training and career
Sophie will be awarded a PhD in January 2019 for a dissertation on the construction and use of knowledge in medical practice, focusing on expertise, interdisciplinary collaboration and imaging technologies, at the University of Twente. She also developed a new MRI method to visualize and characterize kidney tumors. Before that she studied Technical Medicine and Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society at the University of Twente.
