Gido’s research focuses on the societal questions raised around the smart society, both in the field of digitization as in the field of the energy transition. He is currently involved in projects revolving around the future of radioactive waste and the growth of datacenters in the Netherlands.
Gido has attended Eindhoven University of Technology where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Innovation Sciences. During his programs he studies the plentiful ways in which technology and society are intertwined. He wrote a thesis on how the process of digitization in the Netherlands could potentially contribute to a radical and long-term transition of society, a so-called ‘deep transition’.
