Dr. Leonie van Grootel

Leonie conducts research into developments in the public knowledge infrastructure. Among other things, she deals with themes such as the efficiency of the governance of scientific research and the organization of expertise around transitions.

Education and career
Leonie completed a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a Master's degree in Survey Research with a specialization in Political Science at the University of Twente. After her master's degree, she obtained her PhD at the Department of Methods & Statistics of Utrecht University on the integration of quantitative and qualitative data sources in systematic reviews. Leonie then worked as a postdoc and university lecturer in research methodology in the field of meta-science at Utrecht University, VU University Amsterdam and Tilburg University.
