In this graduate internship, Esther will research the existing and potential governance related to germline modification.
Education and career
Esther is in the final phase of her master's in Biomedical Sciences (Neurobiology) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she is following a societal specialization. She also completed a master's in Philosophy of Neuroscience. In her studies, she is mainly concerned with the interactions between science, society, education and philosophy.
In addition to her studies, Esther has gained experience as a teaching and research assistant. She also volunteers to involve a broad public in neuroscientific research and the associated philosophical questions.
