Lilian started working at the Rathenau Instituut in December 2021. She is currently conducting research on smart city technology and astronautics.
Education and career
Lilian studied System Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management at Delft University of Technology, specializing in computer science. She then obtained an master in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, where she focused on issues of power relations and justice within complex societal systems. Her graduation research was about the influence of cryptocurrencies on the monetary system and the way central banks view this. After graduation she worked at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) for two years as an economic policy advisor.
