Yasha has been working for the Rathenau Instituut as a student assistant since March 2025. They are involved in analysing data on science and compiling publications on different parts of the science system.
Study and career
Yasha completed both their bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nanobiology at the Delft University of Technology and the Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam. They graduated with a thesis on the role of R-loops in transcription stress and (cellular) ageing. Parallel to this, Yasha obtained a bachelor’s Philosophy of a Particular Scientific Discipline at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. They are continuing this with a master Philosophy Now, for which they are currently writing a thesis about the careful relationality between (natural) scientists and the entities they research.
