Acquire useful skills and knowledge about safety, security & ethics, meet up with fellow participants and work on your project design. In other words: get a head start! At the end of the meetup you will go home with a toolbox that not only helps to improve your iGEM participation, but may also benefit other educational settings and your future as a synthetic biology leader.
What to expect on 13 and 14 June?
During the first day of the meetup you will get the chance to engage in topics such as do's and dont's, societal values, safety, and how to engage with the public. The programme consists of several workshops, presentations and panel discussions. And last but not least: a keynote lecture by Megan Palmer, Director of iGEM Human Practices!
On day two, an unconference will take place, where you will be able to set the programme yourself. You can download the entire programme here.
So save the date and join our event on 13 & 14 June in The Hague, hosted by the Rathenau Instituut and RIVM.

Participants receive free admission to the evening programme of the Border Sessions festival. Please note that your contact information may be used by RIVM and the Rathenau Instituut, to keep you posted about the iGEM competition.
We look forward to welcoming you at the meetup!
