Over the last two years, several ethics codes and principles for the development and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have emerged. This article provides an overview of the most important ones.

This overview provides an impression of all parties that have committed themselves to formulating and underwriting certain guidelines for the development and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We looked at statements, declarations, guidelines, and codes regarding ethics and AI. 

This overview focuses on Europe and the United States. This overview does not incorporate publications or links to initiatives, conferences, alliances, and research groups that contribute to the broadening and deepening of societal and ethical dilemmas concerning AI.
